Team:

The Atlanta Braves first round draft picks include 64 players, with 33 being pitchers and 52 of those being drafted out of high school. The Braves have selected eight outfielders, seven shortstops, five catchers, five third basemen, three first basemen and two second basemen in the first round of the MLB draft. Of the pitchers taken, the Braves have selected 19 right-handers and 14 left-handers.

The Braves have only drafted 10 college players with their first round selection, with the last being Kyle Wright in 2017. Atlanta has drafted just two players from outside of the 50 states, with Luis Atilano being from Puerto Rico and Scott Thorman being from Ontario, Canada. The Braves have selected first overall twice, with the team picking Bob Horner in 1978 and Chipper Jones in 1990.
