Atlanta Braves Sign Dana Eveland

The Atlanta Braves have signed left-handed reliever Dana Eveland to a minor league contract, according to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation.

The 31-year-old opted out of a minor league deal with the Boston Red Sox last week. Eveland posted a 1.54 ERA over 23 1/3 innings while Triple-A Pawtucket. He hasn’t pitched in the big leagues since 2014, when he played for the Mets. He pitched 27 1/3 innings that season and had a 2.63 ERA.

The Atlanta bullpen has been horrendous this season and the worst bullpen the city has seen since 1990. The Braves signed David Aardsma to a minor league deal yesterday.
