ACC Championship: Clemson over Virginia Tech

This season, Clemson and the other Atlantic division power Florida State, play identical opponents within the conference. However, Clemson has an advantage in that they will play the other two ranked ACC teams Georgia Tech and Florida State at home, while Florida State will play Clemson and Georgia Tech on the road. The Tigers also return all of their key skill players on offense and Florida State will have a new quarterback and question marks at the receiver position. Overall Clemson has the best quarterback and skill players in the ACC and are well coached defensively. That should be enough to win the league.

Georgia Tech is the overwhelming favorite to win the coastal division this season based on what they accomplished last season and who they have returning. But the experts haven’t considered the schedule disparity between them and Virginia Tech. Georgia Tech will have to play the best two teams in the atlantic division with games against Clemson and Florida State. Virginia Tech gets NC State and Boston College as their two opponents from the atlantic division. The Yellow Jackets may have the best offense and quarterback in the coastal division but Virginia Tech has the best defense and with an improved offense they should be the team to beat in the division when you factor in their schedule.
