Mariners Trade Mark Lowe to the Blue Jays

The Toronto Blue Jays have acquired Mark Lowe from the Seattle Mariners for prospects, according to Chris Cotillo of SB Nation.  Jon Heyman first reported that a deal was close.  Heyman reports that one of the three players is lefty Nick Wells, who was a third-round pick in the 2014 draft.  Jake Brentz is one of the other players heading to Seattle, according to Heyman.  The last player to be heading to Seattle is Rob Rasmussen.

Lowe, the veteran right-handed reliever is having a fantastic season, positing a 1.00 ERA in 36 innings.  The 32-year-old also owns a 1.17 WHIP and 11.8 strikeouts per nine innings.  His strikeout to walk ratio is currently 4.27:1.
