Matt Krook’s Scouting Report

Krook hasn’t pitched since April 5, 2014, and underwent Tommy John Surgery a few weeks after that. The southpaw has plenty of upside, but the surgery may have hurt his development and it may take him longer to make it through the minors then most pitchers. Krook has the ideal size of a major league starter and a solid fastball that will have scouts drooling. You could probably say that Krook would be a top 5 pick if it wasn’t for his injury. His mechanics were inconsistent in high school, but they improved in his first year at Oregon.
