San Francisco Giants First Round Draft Picks

The San Francisco Giants first round draft picks include 72 players, with 34 being pitchers and 36 of those being drafted out of high school. The Giants have selected 13 outfielders, eight shortstops, six catchers, four third basemen, four first basemen and three second basemen in the first round of the MLB draft. Of the pitchers taken, the Giants have selected 25 right-handers and nine left-handers.

The Giants have drafted 36 college players with their first round selection, with the last being Chris Shaw in 2015. San Francisco has never selected first overall.
