2015 St. Louis Cardinals Top Preseason Prospects

The St. Louis Cardinals have plenty of talented starting pitching in their farm system right now and should have no problem replacing Shelby Miller in their rotation.  Marco Gonzales is the lead candidate for the fifth spot in the St. Louis rotation.  The lefty relies on his control and his great changeup.  Rob Kaminsky is another lefty to watch this season but I think he may be a few seasons away.  Kaminsky has the higher ceiling of the two but still lacks the experience to start in the majors.

★★★★★★ – Superstar player that has the potential to make an instant impact in the Major Leagues. This player is a future MVP or Cy Young Candidate.
★★★★★ – Great player at his respected position. Has the potential to be a number one starter if he’s a pitcher. Has All-Star potential, but isn’t on the superstar level.
★★★★ – A good everyday player, but not on the great level. A good number two or three if he’s a pitcher.
★★★ – Major League potential, but most likely just a bench player or number 4 or 5 starter. A chance they will spend most of their career in the minors.
