Alec Hansen’s Scouting Report

Hansen is an intimidating hard throwing pitcher with the perfect size to be a dominant starter for a long time. He also has a nasty looking slider to go with a fastball that will occasionally touch 100 MPH, and a good curveball to go with that. Hansen went from being a top five pick to a projected 2nd round pick in less than six months. He struggled with his command and as a result Oklahoma moved him to the bullpen toward the end of the season. Hansen still has a lot of potential with his strikeout ability, but the risk is too high for a team to use a first-round pick on.

Where could Hansen end up in the draft?

Hansen has seen his stock go down a lot in the past few months and he now looks destined to go somewhere in the second round. The Los Angeles Dodgers could be an option at 65 overall.
