Hitting
Benintendi has a very smooth swing and consistently makes hard contact. He has an excellent eye and the ability to hit the ball to all fields, and with power. Benintendi is not very big at 5’10” and most of his power comes from his quick wrists and quick swing. He also has a high on-base percentage and walks more than he strikeouts. Benintendi looks like he could be the steal of the draft no matter where he goes.
Fielding
Benintendi is a future centerfielder that has amazing range with excellent instincts. His arm strength is average to above average.
Baserunning
Benintendi is one of the better athletes coming out of college in this year’s draft. He has plus speed and the ability to steal 20 to 30 bases a year at the big league level.
