The Atlanta Braves announced that they’ve extended Fredi Gonzalez through the 2016 season. The team also announced that they’ve extended the rest of the staff’s contracts too. Gonzalez, 51, has done a good job with a team that wasn’t expected to achieve much this season. The players seem to like their manager. It should also help team chemistry for the players to know that their manager will be back next season.
In addition, the contract of each member of the Major League coaching staff has been extended through 2016, also with a club option for 2017— Atlanta Braves (@Braves) July 17, 2015
