The city of Atlanta has signed a deal to keep the SEC Championship Game in Atlanta through the 2027 season. The game will be played at the new Mercedes-Benz Stadium, according to ESPN.com.
The SEC game will remain in the Georgia Dome for the 2015 and 2016 Championship Game before moving to the new stadium.
A news conference will be held Tuesday at 10:45 a.m. ET at the College Football Hall of Fame to announce the deal.
