Ben Zobrist Homers From Both Sides of the Plate

The Kansas City Royals recently acquired Ben Zobrist from the Oakland Athletics. The switch-hitter it a home run off of Blue Jays pitcher Mark Buehrle in the first inning at the Rogers Centre. That home run came from the right-side of the plate.

The 34-year-old came back up in the eighth inning with his team down a run and facing Toronto’s recently acquired reliever Mark Lowe, and hit a shot deep over the right field fence to tie up the game.  It was the second home run that Lowe has allowed in 36 innings this season.

It was the second time in his career that he has homered from both sides of the plate in the same game.
