Big 12 Picks Week 8
This is a big week for the Big 12 and could potentially eliminate some teams from a chance to win the conference. The top six teams play each other this week. #14 Kansas State @ #11 Oklahoma will kick it off, with the Sooners comings off a close game against Texas. Kansas State is a very good team with their only lose coming at home against Auburn. That was a game the Wildcats should have won, but made some huge mistakes. Oklahoma has the home field advantage and will win a close one.
My upset alert for the week is #4 Baylor @ West Virginia. Baylor is coming off a classic against TCU, they scored 24 unanswered points with 11 minutes left in the game to come back and win. West Virginia is a team with a high powered offense, and ever since the Alabama game I have thought they could pull off a big upset and I think this could be the game. I’m going to go with Baylor in a close one, and don’t be surprised if Baylor is trailing going into the fourth.
The other big game this week is #15 Oklahoma State at #12 TCU. TCU is coming off a heartbreaking lose against Baylor, a game they should have won. Oklahoma State has been great this season with their only lose by six points to #1 Florida State. I expect this to be a great game and come down to the final minutes, but I have to continue my trend of going with the home team and think that TCU pulls it off.
