The Big 12 will feature a few key conference games this week when #24 Oklahoma State travels to Austin, Texas to take on the Longhorns and Texas Tech hosting #3 TCU.
Here are my Big 12 Week 4 Picks:
Saturday, September 26
17 Kansas at Rutgers 27
Both of these teams are just awful and this game could go either way.
21 Rice at #5 Baylor 59
Baylor still has question marks on the defensive side of the ball, but that shouldn’t matter in this one.
34 Maryland at West Virginia 38
West Virginia is one of those teams that I’m still trying to figure out since they haven’t played a decent team yet. I expect Skyler Howard will continue his great start to the season and lead the Mountaineers to a victory.
24 #24 Oklahoma State at Texas 27
Texas was an extra point away from tying Cal last week and missed the point after to lose to the Golden Bears. Now the Longhorns will get a chance to redeem themselves against Oklahoma State. Texas is young and they look to be improving, especially with Jerrod Heard starting at quarterback. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that Charlie Strong and the Longhorns get their first big win of the season.
42 #3 TCU at Texas Tech 38
Will TCU repeat their performance at Minnesota? Can Texas Tech’s offense continue to score points at will? Those are some of the questions surrounding this game. The Horned Frogs have yet to look like a top five team and will have an opportunity to prove to the nation that they’re deserving of the ranking given to them. I have found myself going back and forth all week on this game. My gut tells me to go with Texas Tech, but my brain tells me to with TCU. I’m going to go with my research and pick the Horned Frogs.
