Big Ten Picks Week 11

I like to watch the SEC, more than any other conference, but this week the Big Ten has a game everyone will be paying attention to.  Ohio State travels to play Michigan State, in a game that could decide the Big Ten east.  It could also decide which Big Ten team could potentially represent the conference in the inaugural playoffs.  Ohio State comes into the game with one loss to Virginia Tech.  That loss has come back to hurt them, and I think they will have to beat the Spartans by a few touchdowns to recover.   The Buckeyes offense has been on fire lately.  They are lead by freshman quarterback J.T. Barrett, who has been great this season and he has a bright future ahead of him.  He did struggle against Penn State, who has a top-10 defense on paper.  Michigan State has a very good defense, and Ohio State has struggled against good defenses this season.  The biggest surprise to me has been the Spartans offense, which is fifth in the country, averaging around 45 points per game.  Last year they relied on their defense, and this team is scary this season with a very talented offense.  This game could easily be a high scoring or low scoring game.  Overall I think that Michigan State is the better team from top to bottom.  I got the Spartans winning a close game.
