The Big Ten has a few games to watch this week, with the most notable one being #22 BYU at Michigan. Another game that Big Ten fans will have an eye on is the Maryland at West Virginia game.
Here are my Big Ten Week 4 Picks:
Saturday, September 26
17 Kansas at Rutgers 27
Both team are embarrassingly bad, so this game could be very painful to watch.
14 #22 BYU at Michigan 17
Michigan has one of the better defenses in the conference, but their offense lacks in so many ways. This is the fourth straight week that BYU has played a strong opponent and this is also their third road game of the season. We should learn a lot about the Wolverines this week.
10 Central Michigan at Michigan State 45
Michigan State has yet to win by two or more touchdowns, that should change on Saturday.
24 Southern Miss at Nebraska 41
Nebraska is coming off another tough loss to Miami (FL) and now they have to face an underrated Southern Miss team. The Cornhuskers should win this game, but it could be a lot closer than the experts think.
41 Bowling Green at Purdue 31
Bowling Green has been a surprise in a way, I know they’re 1-2, but the team has played well against three quality opponents. All three of those teams would beat Purdue on their worst day.
45 Indiana at Wake Forest 17
Wake Forest is bad, I mean really bad. Indiana has a great offense and will improve to 4-0 for the first time since 1990.
34 Maryland at West Virginia 38
This game will be very close in the fourth quarter, but I think Skyler Howard and West Virginia are too good for the Terps.
6 North Texas at Iowa 31
Iowa loves playing close games against inferior opponents. North Texas could keep the game close early with Iowa pulling away in the second half.
13 Ohio at Minnesota 21
The Minnesota defense has been great this season, but this team no longer has David Cobb in their backfield or Maxx Williams catching passes, so the Gophers have struggled to produce points.
10 Western Michigan at #1 Ohio State 42
Ohio State looked lost last week, but luckily for them their schedule is pathetic.
13 San Diego State at Penn State 35
Can Penn State’s offense finally get rolling? Probably not, but still have to ask the question.
42 Middle Tennessee at Illinois 35
Illinois got absolutely blown away by North Carolina last week. Now they have to go up against an underrated Middle Tennessee team, I’ll take the latter in this one.
10 Ball State at #17 Northwestern 34
I’ve picked against Northwestern twice this season and I’m not making that mistake again.
10 Hawaii at #22 Wisconsin 42
The Badgers will continue their track back to the top 15 with a blowout win.
