Big Ten conference play heats up this week with some interesting games. Minnesota will travel to #16 Northwestern and #19 Wisconsin will host Iowa, both battles could very well decide the West.
Here are my Big Ten Week 5 Picks:
Saturday, October 3
28 #22 Michigan at Maryland 3
I love the defense that Michigan has put on the field this season and we saw Maryland struggle with West Virginia’s defense last week, so imagine the time they’ll have with the Wolverines.
10 Purdue at #2 Michigan State 52
Purdue is easily the worse team in the conference, while Michigan State is one of the best. This game will be an absolute blowout.
10 Minnesota at #16 Northwestern 13
Both defenses have been spectacular this season and I don’t expect that to change anytime soon.
6 Iowa at #19 Wisconsin 20
This will be a good ole fashion defensive game and I wouldn’t be surprised if nobody has scored at halftime.
10 Army at Penn State 37
Can Christian Hackenberg get on track? Probably not, but the Nittany Lions should still win this game with ease.
41 #1 Ohio State at Indiana 21
Indiana is looking for their first 5-0 start since 1988, but unfortunately for them they have to face the top team in the country. Ohio State should have no issues in this one.
31 Nebraska at Illinois 24
Three of the four games that the Cornhuskers have played this year have been close and this one should be no different.
