Tight end, Maxx Williams might have made the catch of the season for Minnesota, in the second quarter of their game against Iowa. The Gophers are beating the Hawkeyes 51-7 in the fourth quarter. Williams has five catches for 46 yards and three touchdown. This game was suppose to be a close one, but Minnesota just got off to great start and Williams played a major role in the game. Williams had only four touchdowns coming into the game and he beat his season-high in receptions, which was four coming into the game.
It will be tough to beat the behind the back grab by Nebraska’s Jordan Westerkamp earlier this season.
Here’s Westerkamp’s catch.
Maxx Williams is just a sophomore and will have a bright future in the NFL, if he keeps making catches like the ones he made today.
