Houston Texans outside linebacker Jadeveon Clowney is ruled out for Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to an ankle injury. Clowney got his right ankle hurt before halftime in his team loss against the Colts on October 8, but managed to get back to the field to finish some plays.
The Texas franchise made the decision to keep him out on Friday after he missed all week’s practices. This is another frustrating injury he sustains in his NFL career, remembering the season-ending microfracture surgery that he had on his right knee in December.
He was also limited to just four games last season due to other minor injuries, before he was forced to have the second procedure on his right knee. The NFL 2014 1st overall pick seems to have a hard time keeping himself healthy and acquiring more game time and snaps.
He played all Houston Texans game this year, totaling 12 tackles – including 3 of them for a loss of yards – 1 forced fumble and 3 passes defended. Jadeveon Clowney still got to manage his first sack at the professional level, since he was a disruptive force back on his days at college.J
