The Kansas City Chiefs have announced they signed first-round pick Marcus Peters. He has been compared to Ravens Jimmy Smith, who’s a physical corner with ball skills. Peters, 22, was considered one of the best corners in the draft due to his size and speed.
Peters finished with three interceptions and 30 tackles in his junior season at Washington. He was dismissed by the team in November for disciplinary issues.
The Chiefs also signed second-rounder Chris Conley and third-rounder Steven Nelson. Kansas City has now signed their entire draft class. They also released tight end Brandon Barden and defensive lineman Hebron Fangupo.
