Kentucky football coach Mark Stoops announced on Saturday that linebacker Jason Hatcher will be suspended for the first two games for violating team rules.
Kentucky will square off against Louisiana-Lafayette to open the season and will face South Carolina in week two. Hatcher did practice with the team on Saturday and Stoops expects that he’ll play a major role in the defense.
“Jason has worked extremely hard,” Stoops said. “He has put himself in a position to help this team.”
This is the second time in his career that Hatcher has been suspended for violating team rules, with the other one happening in 2013.
