LeSean McCoy traded to the Bills

The Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills have agreed to a trade that would send running back LeSean McCoy to the Bills for Kiko Alonso, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The trade cannot be made official until next Tuesday at 4 p.m. ET, which is the date when the new league year starts.

McCoy has been one of the best running backs in the NFL since coming into the league in 2009. He’s rushed for 6,792 yards and 44 touchdowns during that time span. McCoy rushed for 1,319 yards and scored five touchdowns last season.

Alonso is a good get for the Eagles, ranking third in the NFL in 2013 with 159 tackles. He finished second in the defensive rookie of the year voting. He missed all of the 2014 season, after tearing his ACL while training last July.
