Mariners third baseman Kyle Seager has agreed to a seven-year, $100 million extension pending a physical, reports Jeff Passan. The contract also has an option for a eighth season and it could be worth around $20 million.
Kyle Seager has continued to get better over the course of his career, he hit .268 last season with a career-high 25 home runs and 96 RBIs. Seager has never been on the disabled list and is an excellent defender. Seager joins great company of players to get a $100 million payday in his service class with Mike Trout, Buster Posey, and Freddie Freeman being the other three.
