Tennessee fans got a scare yesterday when a Knoxville radio station reported that wide receiver Marquez North had sustained a leg injury and would miss the entire 2015 season.
Head coach Butch Jones put a stop to those rumors on Thursday telling Knoxville News Sentinel that they “fully expect to have within a week.” Jones said the injury wasn’t serious.
North is expected to be the main target for Joshua Dobbs this season. The junior cause 30 passes for 320 yards and four touchdowns in 2014. He suffered a torn labrum and missed the last three games of the season.
Tennessee already lost left guard Marcus Jackson for the season earlier this week and had 18 players miss practice on Wednesday with injuries.
