New York Mets right-handed reliever Jenrry Mejia has been suspended for 162 games following his second failed drug test for PEDs, according to Jon Heyman of CBSSports.com. Joel Sherman of the New York Post reports that Mejia tested positive for both boldenone and stanozolol.

The suspension comes just weeks after the 25-year-old was activated from his 80-game suspension for failing a PED drug test in April. Mejia pitched just 7 1/3 innings this season, giving up just four hits and no runs. This is a major hit to a team that’s in the thick of the division race. Fortunately for the Mets they acquired Tyler Clippard yesterday.
