Auburn and Bruce Pearl received huge news on Sunday when five-star guard Mustapha Heron committed to the team. He chose the Tigers over Mississippi State, Alabama, SMU, St. John’s and Marquette.
The 6’5″ shooting guard was once committed to Pittsburgh, but decommitted in April. The Waterbury, Connecticut native is currently ranked as the 23rd player in the nation, the number four small forward and the number one player in his state by 247Sports.
This commitment comes to a surprise to many since Heron said just a week ago that he was going to visit five schools before making his announcement.
Heron joins Jared Harper and Anfernee in Auburn’s 2016 class.
