San Francisco Giants outfielder Nori Aoki has been placed on the seven-day concussion disabled list after he left Wednesday’s game against the Astros with dizziness.
The 33-year-old was hit in the head by a pitch on Sunday and passed an initial concussion test, but started to experience symptoms in the fourth inning on Wednesday.
Aoki has struggled with injuries the last few months, missing most of July with a fractured leg. He’s had a very good season when healthy, hitting a slash of .302/.368/.387 with four homers and 24 RBIs in 338 plate appearances.
Ryan Lollis has been called-up to fill his spot on the roster, with Justin Maxwell being the most likely candidate to take his place in left-field.
