Ohio State announced on Thursday that they’ve suspended defensive end Joey Bosa, H-back Jalin Marshall, receiver Corey Smith and H-back Dontre Wilson will all miss the season opener against Virginia Tech. The four players violated the Department of Athletics policy.
Bosa is the star of the team and a potential first-round pick in next year’s draft. He was the defensive player of the year and a consensus All-American last season.
Marshall was second on the team in receptions last season with 38 and was third in receiving yards with 499. He also had six touchdown catches.
Smith caught 20 passes last year for 255 yards, while Wilson caught 31 passes for 300 yards and three touchdowns.
Ohio State will look to defend their National Championship this season and this could definitely impact their chances with them opening up against Virginia Tech, who was the only team to beat them last year.
