On this day in 1998, Utah Jazz point guard John Stockton scored his 15,000th career point in a 110-101 victory over the Vancouver Grizzles.
On this day in 1999, Houston Rockets forward Charles Barkley became the third player in NBA history to score 20,00o points, gather 10,000 rebounds and collect 4,000 assists in a 100-89 win over the Cleveland Cavaliers. He joined Wilt Chamberlain and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the only players to ever accomplish the feat.

On this day in 1953, Lou Perini, owner of the Braves, asked permission to move his franchise from Boston to Milwaukee. This day would be know as ‘Black Friday’ in Boston.
On this day in 2008, the St. Louis Cardinals and Kyle Lohse agreed to a one-year deal worth $4.25 million. The move gave the Cardinals rotation a much needed boost. Lohse would pitch for St. Louis through the 2012 season, playing a major role on the 2011 Championship team.
