On this day in 1992, Cleveland Cavaliers coach Lenny Wilkens became the fifth coach in NBA history to win 800 career games after his team beat the Denver Nuggets 100-91. Wilkens joined Red Auerbach, Dick Motta, Bill Fitch, and Jack Ramsay in the 800 win club.

On this day in 2000, six Red Sox pitchers combined for a perfect game, beating the Toronto Blue Jays 5-0 at their spring training home in Fort Myers, Florida. Pedro Martinez pitched the first three innings, Fernando De La Cruz went the following two innings, and Dan Smith, Rheal Cormier, Rich Garces, and Rod Beck finished out the game all going one inning apiece.
