On this day in 2013, Allen Craig and the St. Louis Cardinals agreed to a $31 million, five-year deal. The first baseman played a major role in the 2011 World Series team, including a clutch hit in Game 6 that sparked the Cardinals rally. Craig would be traded to the Boston Red Sox in 2014.
