On this day in 1987, the St. Louis Rams traded Eric Dickerson to the Indianapolis Colts for six draft picks and two players. The Buffalo Bills also obtained the rights to Cornelius Bennett from the Colts and sent Greg Bell and three draft picks to the Rams. The Colts added three draft picks and Owen Gill. The trade was later called the “Deal of the Decade.”
