The Orioles have designated pitcher Bud Norris for assignment and order to make room for Gerardo Parra, who was acquired on Friday.
The 30-year-old is having a tough season, posting an ERA of 7.06 over 66 1/3 innings and a WHIP of 1.64 in 18 starts this season. The righty has been both a starter and a reliever for the O’s this year and never could get on track in either role.
