Pac 12 Picks Week 10
This is a big week in the Pac-12, with both divisions up for grabs. Three of the six games this week have implications in their respected division. Stanford has beaten Oregon the past two seasons and ruined their title hopes both times. I don’t see that happening this season, but you never know with these two teams. Stanford is second in the nation only allowing 12.5 points a game and if they had an ounce of an offense, would more than likely be undefeated. Oregon is averaging around 45 points a game, which is fifth in the nation. I don’t think the score anywhere close to that, but they will handle the Cardinals. I don’t see Stanford scoring more than two touchdowns. I got Oregon winning by 10 at home.
Utah playing at Arizona State could decide the fate of the south. Both teams come in with just one conference loss and both teams lost at home. Utah has been able to win the close ones, especially the past three weeks. They beat UCLA by two, Oregon State by six in double-overtime, and USC by three. The USC game came down to the final seconds. Utah is a very balanced team, with Arizona State being a pass heavy team. I got Utah in a close one, based on their defense and their ability to pull out a close game lately.
UCLA could climb back into the race for the south division, with a win Saturday against Arizona. Arizona only loss came to USC by two points. UCLA has been very inconsistent this season and I haven’t been able to figure them out. They have a balanced offense, but their defense allows around 30 points a game and that’s never good. The Wildcats defense isn’t very good either, giving up around 28 points a game. I don’t think that Arizona is a great team, but they just know how to win. I got UCLA winning this one in a high scoring game.
