The San Francisco 49ers have traded tight end Asante Cleveland to the New England Patriots in exchange for offensive lineman Jordan Devey, according to Matt Maiocco of CSNBayArea.com.
The Patriots love to stack up on tight ends and already had six on their depth chart before this deal was made.
Cleveland, 23, has yet to record a catch in the NFL and has spent most of his career on the practice squad. He went undrafted in the 2014 and was signed by the 49ers out of Miami (FL). Cleveland is your ideal size for a tight end and could turn out to be a steal for the Pats.
