Penn State’s week just went from bad to worse when the school announced that redshirt junior linebacker Nyeem Wartman-White will miss the remainder of the season with a leg injury. Wartman-White was injured in the Nittany Lions 27-10 loss to Temple on Saturday.
“He’s supporting the hell out of us right now,” fellow linebacker Jason Cabinda said, according to Pennlive.com. “It is what it is. It’s unfortunate. It’s football. Guys get hurt, and there’s going to be a group of guys; we’re going to have to step in and fill that role.”
Wartman-White recorded two tackles before leaving the game with an injury in the second quarter.
The junior posted 75 tackles in 2014, trailing just Mike Hull for the team lead, he also added an interception and 3.5 tackles for loss.
Hull will now take over the middle linebacker duties for Penn State.
