The Tampa Bay Rays have claimed Daniel Nava off of waivers from the Boston Red Sox, according to Marc Topkin of Tampa Bay Times. The first baseman/outfielder had a great 2014 season, but has yet to produce on that same level in the past two years.
The 32-year-old is hitting .152/.260/.182 with seven RBIs in 78 plate appearances. Nava should be a good fit for the Rays and it might provide him with the fresh start that he needs.
