The New Orleans Saints have signed first-round pick Stephone Anthony and third-round pick P.J. Williams, according to the Saints Website. Both players got four-year deals.
New Orleans shocked a lot of people with the selection of Anthony so early in the draft, with the idea that he would still be available when their pick rolled around in the second. The 31st overall pick started 35 games at linebacker for the Clemson Tigers and finished his career with 330 tackles, 9.5 sacks, five forced fumbles and a fumble recovery. Anthony best season was definitely his last, earning first-team All-ACC honors.
Williams spent his collegiate years at Florida State where he started 24 games for the Seminoles, finishing with 123 tackles, for interceptions, a forced fumble and one recovery. Williams like Anthony was first-team All-ACC.
First-round pick Andrus Peat remains the only Saints draftee unsigned.
