SEC Games of the Week

Kentucky @ Florida

This game has the potential to be a good close one.  Florida revamped offense looked impressive last Saturday against Eastern Michigan. Kentucky on the other hand has had an impressive defense so far this season, granted those two wins came against Tennessee-Martin and Ohio respectively. I though Mark Stoops would turn the Wildcats around, but not this quickly. This could be a statement game for the Wildcats, even if they just keep it close. Florida on the other hand struggled last season and the Gators are looking to make a statement. The Gators play Alabama next week and can’t get caught looking ahead. This game will be a lot closer than most people think, but in the end the Gators new offense and home field advantage will prevail. Florida 23, Kentucky 20

Tennessee @ #4 Oklahoma

The Vols have played 22 true freshman already this year. Butch Jones has this team believing they can beat anybody and they’re playing like it. Tennessee will have to force a few turnovers, and not turn the ball over if they want to have a chance in this one. The Vols o-line and d-line will get their first big test of the season. In the end I don’t think that Tennessee playmakers can get it done. Oklahoma 38, Tennessee 27

#6 Georgia @ #24 South Carolina

South Carolina has struggled so far this season. The Gamecocks barely pulled out a win against ECU last week and lost their opener to Texas A&M. South Carolina will have to stop Georgia powerful running game, led by heisman front-runner Todd Gurley. While Georgia looked like the best team in the country in their opener against Clemson. South Carolina looked the exact opposite in their opener. Their are a lot of questions coming into this game. Will Steve Spurrier get his team pumped for this game, can the Gamecocks stop that powerful Bulldog running attack.  In the end I say yes to both, I think Spurrier will pull an upset to shake up the east even more. South Carolina 34, Georgia 31
