Trenton Clark’s Scouting Report
Hitting
Clark’s strongest weapon is his ability to hit and manage the strike zone. He has great bat speed with a compact swing. Clark is considered more of a contact hitter but he does display above average power, and looks like a guy that could hit 15-25 homers a year at the major league level. He has an unusual grip on the bat and it doesn’t effect him right now. He will most likely have to change that grip if he starts to struggle as the competition gets better. Clark is a gritty player that hustles on every play and that along could make him a great big league player.
Fielding
Clark biggest weaknesses are his arm and his glove. He has good range and enough speed to play any outfield position but his arm will probably force him to play left field.
Baserunning
Clark is a very smart base runner with just above average speed. He has the ability to steal 10-15 bases a year at the big league level.
