The 21-year-old is the top prospect according to Fueled by Sports, MLB.com and Baseball Prospectus. He is the number two prospect in Baseball America’s rankings. Buxton is considered to be a five-tool player and has been compared to Mike Trout.
Buxton was hitting .283 with seven homers and 12 RBIs at Double-A Chattanooga. We’ve seen a lot of top prospects making their major league debut in the past month, with Kris Bryant, Joey Gallo and Carlos Correa among that group.
