Kaelin Clay was on his way for a big 79 yard touchdown, that could have put Utah up 14-0 on #4 Oregon. But Clay forgot the golden rule, hold onto the football until you get in the end zone. Clay dropped the ball at the one and Oregon’s Joe Walker stood there for a second, before realizing that it was still a live play. Walker picked it up and was escorted by teammates for a 99 yard touchdown. The game is now tied early in the second quarter at 7 apiece.
The momentum was in Utah favor and now Oregon will look to take advantage of a much needed touchdown.
Kaelin Clay is a senior and you would expect him not to make a key mistake and such a big game. It’s still early in the game and Clay will have plenty of time to redeem himself.
