Wade Davis gives up his first home run since 2013

Kansas City Royals pitcher Wade Davis has been one of the most dominant relievers in the game the past two seasons, he’s been so good that he hasn’t given up a home run since August 24, 2013. That streak came to an end today when Blue Jays outfielder Jose Bautista slugged an eighth inning home run off the righty.

Davis had gone 123 appearances and 125 2/3 innings without giving up a big fly. He left the 0-2 fastball over the middle of the plate and Bautista extended on it, hitting his second homer of the game.
