Fans of the Atlanta Braves know the season is all but over and the only reason to watch the team right now is to see what the future may hold. One of those players everyone is excited to see is Hector Olivera, who the Braves acquired from the Dodgers for Alex Wood, Jim Johnson, Luis Avilan and top prospect Jose Peraza.
Olivera is due to make his major league debut soon and many around baseball think it could come as early as this week. The 30-year-old has hit .138 with no extra-base hits over the nine minor league rehab games he’s played since recovering from his hamstring injury.
The Braves hope that Olivera will provide protection in the lineup for Freddie Freeman.
