Kyle Long Has Mixed Results at Right Tackle
Last season as a rookie Kyle Long made the Pro Bowl as an offensive guard. The new coaching staff decided to move Long to right tackle this offseason after releasing Jordan Mills. Long and the entire offensive line did a great job in the running game as the Bears finished the game with 5.7 yards per rush. Most of these running plays were on the right side. Long did have his struggles with pass protection though. Ex-Bear Julius Peppers gave Long problems throughout the game and finished with 1.5 sacks and almost forced a fumble on Jay Cutler until replay proved that Cutler was down before fumbling.
