The New York Yankees have designated right-hander Danny Burawa for assignment, the team announced. They made the move to make room on the 40-man roster for Garrett Jones, who they re-signed today.
Burawa, 26, made his first major league appearance this year pitching 2/3 of an inning and giving up four earned runs. While that outing didn’t go well, he has posted a 2.69 ERA in 60 1/3 innings in Double-A and Triple-A this season.
